Currency: Indonesian Rupiah (IDR)

Local Language: Bahasa Indonesia (but English is widely spoken in tourist areas).

Visa: All visitors must have a passport that is valid for a minimum of 6 months. Check the visa requirements for your passport before you travel, but Indonesia has a list of 68 countries that are eligible for visa-on-arrival. 

Safety: Indonesia is generally a safe destination for travellers, but like any country, it’s important to stay cautious and aware of your surroundings. Petty Crime (pickpocketing and bag snatching) is known to happen in some tourist areas like Bali or Jakarta.

Natural Hazards; Indonesia is located in the Ring of Fire, so it’s prone to natural hazards like earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, and tsunamis. Stay updated on local news and follow government warnings during your visit.

Health Concerns; In some regions, travelers should be cautious of water quality, food hygiene and mosquito-borne diseases like dengue fever & malaria.
